Biography

Mikael Ronström developed NDB Cluster as part of his Ph.D Thesis in the 1990s at Ericsson, this development generated 18 patents in various categories. It was acquired by   MySQL in 2003 and named MySQL Cluster. He also developed the partitioning support, the thread pool and was responsible to scale the MySQL Server from 4 to 64 CPUs. He is now focusing his effort on ensuring that NDB Cluster is useful for modern database applications, be it SQL or NoSQL applications.
