Nigel Bayliss

Nigel is the product manager for the Oracle Optimizer. He started out as an Oracle DBA and application developer in 1988 and migrated to the field of consulting where he specialized in database design and performance management. He joined Oracle Consulting in 1996 where he concentrated on delivering performance-critical and VLDB applications. At Oracle he has had a wide variety of different roles including development, benchmarking and pre-sales (with a particular emphasis on Oracle Exadata). He has been part of the Oracle Data Warehouse Product Management team since 2014.
