Tirthankar Lahiri

Tirthankar Lahiri is Senior Vice President of the Data and In-Memory Technologies area within Oracle Database. This area includes the Oracle Database Engine (Transactions, Data formats, Indexes, Advanced Compression, Database In-Memory, Secure Files and DBFS, etc.), the Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database, and Oracle NoSQLDB. Tirthankar has 24 years of experience in the database industry and has worked on a number of areas such as Performance, Scalability, Manageability and In-Memory architectures. He has 38 patents and a number of academic publications. He has a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur) and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
